For this round of projects, I was in the photo group. Luckily, this project occurred over spring break for me, which gave me time to get outside and take some really cool photos. I don't have a camera other than my iphone 8, however, I still found that I could produce some quality photos with my phone.
Before heading out to take some photos, I looked at the website Photzy . I took two of the classes offered for free on the site, Stylizing Brand and Capturing Great Photos in the Snow.
I picked the snow class because it's winter here, and I thought it might be good for when I want to take pictures outside in the winter. I learned a couple of tips about using snow to highlight landscape, however, a lot of the class was above my level. A lot of the content would have been interesting if I had a nice camera to take photos with, but as an iphone photographer, I didn't find it super helpful.
I enjoyed the other class more. It was all about how to take photos for your portfolio that fit to your image or brand. Some of the tips about planning specific photos you need (which was easy for me because I needed the ones required for the assignment), and picking words that you want your images to align with, I actually used during my photo shot for my project.
